Revenue Down By 5.5 Percent In February - New Jersey Online Casinos Take A Hit ?

According to the data shared by the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement the online casino gaming revenue in New Jersey is down 5.5 percent in February in comparison to the previous month. As per the estimates based on operator data in the sector the gross gaming win in ‘online casino’ is around $29.94m and $1.81m in online poker.

The fall in the revenue generated is the first after August last year. In January the New Jersey gambling operators made gross revenue of $49.09m which went down to $44.6m in February.

The Golden Nugget casino is the one that grossed the maximum revenue in February. The Sugarhouse Casino and Betfair Casino, both operated by the Golden Nugget group together pocketed around $10.70m last month. The strong performance of the Fanduel Sportsbook is what got them to achieve these figures.

Giving Golden Nugget a chase is the Resorts Digital Gaming which operates the Resorts Online Casino, Mohegan Sun Online Casino, PokerStars Casino, and DraftKings. The Resorts Digital gaming grossed a total of 5.6 million in total revenue in February.

While the revenue has taken a dip for the New Jersey gaming and gambling industry, the experts have not been impressed by this as to claim it a trend which may have long-term implications. On the contrary, the gaming revenues have been increasing for New Jersey and are over 12 million higher than what they were in August 2018. The growth streak starting august last year continued in January and the New Jersey betting boom even got GAN a 100% increase in revenues earlier this year.
