The Cosmopolitan Of Las Vegas has apologized over not allowing the US rapper Meek Mill to enter their premises.
Earlier Meek Mill had alleged that the Cosmopolitan hotel and casino did not allow him to enter and that they kicked him out the gambling venue.
Following the incident, Meek Mill said that he would sue The Cosmopolitan for racial discrimination.
In its latest statement, apologizing to Meek Mill, the casino said: “We apologize to Meek Mill for how we handled the situation on Saturday, May 25, as we did not act in a respectful manner and were wrong.”
“Meek Mill has not had any prior incidents on our property. The Cosmopolitan has zero tolerance for discrimination, and we pride ourselves on providing an inclusive environment. We look forward to welcoming Meek Mill back to the resort.”
Taking to twitter, the US rapper had alleged that he was not allowed in the casino as the Vegas strip casinos and hotels do not want rappers. He also posted a video on Instagram where he could be seen arguing with the security.
Mr. Mill’s lawyer had said that they would sue the casino-hotel for racial discrimination.
Following the apology from the Cosmopolitan, in an interview to the CNN, Meek Mill’s lawyer Joe Tacopina said that he and his client “appreciate the Cosmopolitan’s apology and will no longer pursue legal recourse at this time.”
