Russia’s Federal Tax Service (FTS) has extended the gambling payments blacklist by adding 16 more gambling operators to the list.
Moreover, troubles for Google in Russia is mounting as it could be slapped with fines for not being able to filter already blacklisted websites from Russian search results.
The domestic financial institutions are forbidden to process payments from those blacklisted by the Russian Federal Tax Service (FTS).
The new names include popular online gambling brands like Bonnal Ltd (1xBet), Shamoo Holding Ltd (MostBet) and Panbet Curacao NV (MarathonBet).
Most of the companies blacklisted are based out of Curacao and Cyprus.
Other companies that have been blacklisted are Netgame Entertainment NV (Reel Emperor), Planet of Bets Entertainment, 2Go Enterprises (Casino 2Go), Tropical Gaming LLC (Golden Cave Casino), Castigat Investments Ltd (GGBet), Vavada Ltd (Vavada Casino), Discreet Holdings Inc, Probe Investments Ltd (Energy Casino) Wayone Ltd (Futuriti Casino), Livestream Ltd (Loot.Bet), JocSolutions Ltd (Argo Casino), MOMUS2006 LP (BetItAll) and Aveia Ltd.
Only local gambling operators who have secured all necessary permissions from the country’s gambling authority are allowed to operate.
The country’s gambling regulatory body plans to step up its anti-money laundering efforts and could introduce new measures.
Moreover, Russia’s Federal Anti-Monopoly Service (FAS) is seeking additional power from the government to take action against overseas video file-sharing sites that target Russians.
