UK-based bookmaker Betfred’s US arm, Betfred US has inked a technology and operations agreement for Sports Wagering with Elite Casino Resorts. The deal will see Betfred facilitate sports betting for Elite Casino’s Iowa customers.
While sports betting in IOWA is yet to be launched and is subject to regulatory approval Elite Casino is eyeing the potential sports gambling market with Betfred.

At present, Elite Casino resort operates three premier gaming and resort destinations in Iowa.
Earlier this week, another UK-based bookmaker William Hill confirmed that they are launching sportsbook at two of Eldorado’s Iowa casinos.
William Hill would be providing both in-person and mobile sports betting services to Eldorado Resorts’ Isle Casino Hotel Bettendorf and Isle Casino Hotel Waterloo in Iowa.
It was in May this year that the Republican Governor Kim Reynolds signed the sports betting bill into law in Iowa.
According to the new sports betting law, Iowa Racing and Gaming Commission is authorized to regulate sports gambling in the state. The commission already regulates and monitors 19 state-licensed casinos, and it says that the gambling operators are already lined up to offer sports betting at the venues.
