Sports betting has been launched at Chinook Winds Casino Resort in Lincoln City, Oregon making Oregon 12th US state to offer sports gambling since the US Supreme Court legalized sports betting last year.
Chinook Winds Casino has also become the first gambling facility in the state to offer legalized sports betting.
The sports lounge at the Chinook Winds Casino is to remain open between 8 am and 11 pm seven days a week.
In his statement to the press, Will Robertson, Director of Casino Operations at Chinhook said: “In our search for a service provider, LVDC stood out from the start. Their professionalism and experience have been on display from day one. We are excited to have them by our side as we begin offering sports wagering for our guests.”
The sports betting lounge features a 600 square feet betting area with 15 betting screens.
“All of our wagerings will be done in person. We will have no online wagering options,” Robertson added.
Sports wagering at Chinook Winds will be limited to in-person land-based wagering.
The Oregon lottery earlier had plans to launch sports betting operations in the state before the beginning of the football season this year.
Earlier this year, Oregon Lottery partnered with SBTech after the company not only did fit in the requirements but also committed to delivering within the deadline as the state was looking to launch sports betting as early as September.
