Sports Betting operator DraftKings has launched its mobile betting app in West Virginia. Recently, Fanduel also launched a mobile app in the state.
The sports betting operator had earlier launched its operations in New Jersey in partnership with gaming content services provider NetEnt.
Following the launch of the DraftKings app in West Virginia, players will now be able to use a native sportsbook app on mobile or any internet-enabled device to wager on their favorite sporting events.
Currently, the DraftKings app provides both daily fantasy as well as regular sports betting odds. The users will have both the options to switch between and chose from.
Commenting on the launch of the mobile App, DraftKings’ co-founder and chief revenue officer Matt Kalish said that he was excited about the launch of Darftkings’ mobile betting app in West Virginia.
DraftKings has partnered with Penn National Gaming, land-based casino, and gambling operator to expand its online sports betting services in the US. The two companies had struck a partnership deal back in December 2018.
Recently, sports gambling company Kambi and Draftkings signed an extended partnership deal for eight US states including Colorado, Indiana, Iowa, Maine, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, West Virginia, and New York.
According to the New Deal Kambi’s revenues from operations in the New Jersey market will remain intact while it will have an opportunity to earn additional revenue as an when the partnership begins operations in other states.
