Gaming technology and services provider, SBTech has inked a sportsbook partnership deal with Sweden’s state-owned gambling operator Svenska Spel.
The gaming technology firm has recently partnered with Finnish state-owned lottery operator Veikkaus and also with The Oregon Lottery in the US.
Andrew Cochrane, chief development officer, SBTech, said: “We are incredibly proud and excited to have been awarded this partnership with Svenska Spel Sport and Casino AB following an extremely rigorous selection process.
We look forward to completing the integration of our sportsbook solution across Svenska Spel’s retail, mobile and online channels and helping Sweden’s leading gaming company deliver the foremost sports betting experience in the market.”
Earlier in July this year, FSBTech partnered with Finish gambling monopoly, Veikkaus. It is expected that in 2021, SBTech will roll out its sportsbook platform across Veikkaus’ retail network. The company runs over 3,000 outlets throughout Finland.
Prior to Veikkaus, FSBTech had also partnered with Oregon State Lottery to launch mobile and live sports betting operations.
While the company ha been forging partnership deals with Tier 1 Lottery companies, reports emerged that sports betting operator DraftKings is in advanced talks with SBTech about an acquisition deal.
According to the reports and those familiar with the matter, the entire deal could cost Draftkings anything between $300 million and $600 million.
