South Korean K-pop Star Seungri, booked for gambling charges, has been interrogated once again. The Seoul Metropolitan Police summoned the BIGBANG star for the second time on Tuesday.
According to the reports in the local media, Seungri turned up for the interrogation at about 10.40 a.m local time. He was also questioned by reporters about how he procured funds to gamble overseas and was sought comments on overseas gambling charges he is facing.
Earlier this year in June, Seungri was referred to the prosecution on embezzlement and pimping charges.
Last month, the Seoul Metropolitan Police booked Yang Hyun-suk and former Big Bang member Seungri on charges of consistently gambling overseas.
According to the gambling rules in South Korea, it is illegal for people to participate in gambling in the country and even outside the country where it is legal. However, normally if caught gambling overseas it is likely that one gets away with a warning.
A travel ban forbidding both YANG and Seungri from leaving the country has been imposed. Following the charges of overseas gambling, the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency received approval from the country’s Ministry of Justice to impose a travel ban on both Yang and Seungri.
