Oregon Lottery has revealed plans to launch online sports betting soon. Earlier this year in August Oregon became the12th US state to launch sports betting operations.
The Chinook Winds Casino in the state became the first gambling venue to launch sports betting. According to the reports, Oregon Lottery can launch sports betting as early as the coming week.
The Oregon Lottery gambling app, Scoreboard, will allow gamblers to wagering on professional sports, baseball, basketball, soccer, NASCAR, and golf. The gambling regulator has been running the test versions of the gambling app.
John Canzano, a reporter with The Oregonian, said in a tweet that the gambling regulator would be launching its sports gambling app by October 7. He also said that the Oregon Lottery is working on payment options with banking partners before the official launch.
Earlier the Oregon lottery had been planning to launch mobile sports betting before the start of the NFL season.
To launch sports betting in the state, Oregon Lottery had partnered with SBTech after the company not only did fit in the requirements but also committed to delivering within the deadline as the state is looking to launch sports betting as early as September.
