Novomatic’s interactive division, Greentube has inked a content deal with Switzerland’s Grand Casino Lucerne.
Earlier this year in August, Grand Casino Luzern became the country’s second gambling facility to launch online gambling operations. The casino partnered with online gambling operator Red Tiger for its online operations.
Following the deal, Green Tube will launch its portfolio of games for the first time in the newly regulated Swiss remote gambling market.
According to the new gambling regulations all online gambling operators have to partner with a locally licensed casino to operate in the Swiss online gambling market.
A new Gambling Act in June 2018 was approved by a national referendum in which over 73 percent of the voters voted in favor of regulating the iGaming market. The new legislation came into effect from January this year.
Commenting on the deal with Greentube, Daniel Lechner, Greentube’s head of sales, said: “The Swiss market is expected to be particularly strong for us given the familiarity of our games with local players, and we are thrilled to be among one of the first suppliers to launch in this exciting region.
“Grand Casino Luzern’s leading position in and knowledge of the market, combined with its extensive customer base, will help us grow our brand in Switzerland and build on our land-based reputation.”
“As Greentube’s portfolio contains some of the most sought-after games currently in the Swiss market, this partnership will allow us to meet customer demand for popular titles such as super cherry slots and strengthen mycasino.ch’s position as the most attractive Swiss online casino,” said Wolfgang Bliem, CEO at Grand Casino Luzern.
