Illegal Underground Casino And Gambling Establishment Busted In Phoenix

A long-operating illegal casino and gambling establishment has been busted in Phoenix, Arizona. The Arizona Department of Gaming has revealed the details and confirmed the illegal operations.

The illegal casino was operating in the name of Tom Amusement, or Tom’s Warehouse and the ADG has confirmed that they were investigating the property since the beginning of March this year.

Following an investigation that was carried out undercover, the ADG and Phoenix Police Department jointly served search warrants at six separate locations in the Phoenix-area.

The raiding officers seized seven casino style video poker gaming devices, six ATM kiosks, eight internet cafe sweepstakes computers, and $7,000 in cash.

While six individuals allegedly involved in the gambling operation were detained and interviewed, they were later released pending charges being filed by the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office.

“The Arizona Department of Gaming takes its duty to enforce the gambling laws in our state seriously,” said Ted Vogt, ADG Director. “We appreciate our ongoing partnerships with the Phoenix Police Department and the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office in our efforts to stop illegal gambling and its associated crimes.”

Earlier this week, another illegal online gambling den was busted on Wednesday. Long Beach police arrested 11 people in a raid and seized illegal gambling machines that were connected to an illegal gambling establishment.

The swat team and Vice Detectives served a search warrant in the 2300 block of Pacific Avenue. The detectives had already received information regarding illegal activities in the house.

About 40 people were detained for interrogation as the investigators raided the location. The police officers confirmed that three illegal gambling machines, four firearms, two stolen vehicles and $5,000 in cash were also seized from the location. They have also confirmed to have found ammunition and narcotics.
