Gaming content and technology services provider, Scientific Games, has confirmed that it would be supporting “Gift Responsibly. Lottery Tickets Aren’t Child’s Play,” a responsible gambling initiative by the National Council on Problem Gambling.
Scientific Games is amongst the leading suppliers of instant lottery services globally.
“Scientific Games is one of the first companies to be certified by the World Lottery Association as a responsible gaming supplier. We support a number of leading responsible gaming organizations like the National Council on Problem Gaming and we work closely with lotteries and retailers to help prevent those under 18 from playing lottery games,” said Pat McHugh, Group Chief Executive, Lottery for Scientific Games.
“Additionally, we are continually innovating new technologies like our advanced SG Vision technology, which helps protect against underage lottery purchases at retail.”
Earlier in August, MGM Resort International was recognized at the 33rd National Conference of the National Council on Problem Gambling’s (NCPG). MGM’s GameSense program which aims at promoting safer gambling was chosen for the NCPG’s Public Awareness Award.
The award was given specifically for MGM’s Responsible Gaming Education Week campaign for 2018. MGM launched the GameSense Program nationwide at its properties in 2017. The program has been developed by the British Columbia Lottery Corporation (BCLC).
