Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board has approved fines to the tune of $120,000 against two casino operators.
In a public meeting on Wednesday, the board agreed to penalize Downs Racing, L.P., operator of Mohegan Sun Pocono in Luzerne County, with a $110,000 fine for underage gaming violations and Washington Trotting Association, LLC, operator of The Meadows Racetrack and Casino in Washington County, with a $10,000 fine for allowing employees to work with expired gaming licenses.
The Gambling regulator in a release for the press confirmed that The first fine levied against Downs Racing, L.P. stemmed from 4 incidents in which individuals under the age of 21 accessed the gaming floor.
Washington Trotting Association, LLC was fined for two incidents in which employees of the casino were permitted to work after their gaming licenses expired and without authorization being given by the Board.
Earlier in the month, the gambling regulator slapped a $150,000 fine on tribal casino Mohegan Sun Pocono.
The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board upon investigation found that the gambling facility did not comply with the minimum security staffing requirement which is a violation of its licensing terms.
The Gaming Control Board observed that there were 91 days between January 3 to April 28, 2019, when the gambling facility did not have the required minimum security staff at the venue.
