A racetrack and casino in Ohio is planning to launch a $100 million expansion project. Miami Valley Gaming and Racing in southwestern Ohio’s Warren County has confirmed a $100 million expansion plan for the gambling venue.
The operator has revealed its plans and said that the expansion project would include adding a hotel, restaurant, parking garage, and additional gambling machines.
In a statement to the press, Domenic Mancini, the racino’s president and general manager, said that the expansion project would help the racino to secure more business from neighboring cities on top of visitors from Cincinnati and Dayton.
The gambling operator also said that the project will help create around 300 temporary jobs during the development phase and 100 permanent positions. The racino expects the project to be completed by the first half of 2021.
The new attached hotel proposed as a part of the expansion plan would host 194 rooms and will have a parking space to accommodate 1,000 cars.
The expansion would see about 250 additional video lottery terminal machines and over 10,000 square feet (929 square meters) of additional floor space.
There are four casinos in Ohio, Jack Cleveland Casino, Jack Cincinnati Casino, Hollywood Casino Toledo, and Hollywood Casino Columbus.
