Microgaming has confirmed the closure of its poker network and has also announced a date when it would cease operations.
The operator has confirmed the closure date of the Microgaming Poker Network (MPN) as May 19, 2020.
“The network model no longer fits with our strategic vision for poker, and this is the right time to announce the closure as we focus on redistributing key resources and personnel across the business,” read a statement from John Coleman, Microgaming’s CEO.
While the CEO said that the company would not cease its poker plans he did not reveal what those plans are – after the closure of the company’s poker network.
For existing players on the Microgaming Poker Network the migration process would be easy – assured by the operator- and the players will have access to their funds.
The online poker sites will migrate to new suppliers and the transfer would be seamless.
