Playtech, one of the first casino games developers along with Microgaming, has launched the first-ever online slot game with a live dealer. The Buffalo Blitz slot is a remake of Playtech’s popular fruit machine from a few years ago.
While the game is considered an online slot, the rules are slightly different. We’re going to explain to you how it works. It might be worth noting at this point that the Buffalo Blitz works both on mobile and desktop devices. The rules of Buffalo Blitz are straightforward. You might be surprised though that there are no paylines and the only variable you can adjust is the amount you want to wager each round. Buffalo Blitz takes between 0.01 and 5 credits, and the default is set to 40 coins per round. With the spin button, you can both start and stop the reels, and the turbo mode lets you speed up the game. You’re also able to set the game to auto-play mode if you prefer it the convenient way.
Symbols, multipliers, and payouts
In Buffalo Blitz, the diamond symbol acts as wild symbol, which replaces every figure except for the scatter. Let’s take a look at all symbols and their multipliers:
Bull: The bull symbol is the one with the highest multipliers ranging from 40 to 300 times. If you land two bull symbols on the reels, your winnings are multiplied by the factor 40. If six bulls appear, you get the highest coefficient of 300.
Lynx & Racoon: The lynx and racoon are the second-best symbols with multipliers of 15, 50, 150, 200, and 250 when you land 2, 3, 4, 5, or 6 symbols on the reels (this is consistent for all badges).
Elk & Bear: These two symbols have a coefficient of 10, 40, 80, 150, and 200, and it again depends on the number of symbols that simultaneously land on the reels.
All other symbols are card denominations with payout multipliers ranging from 10 to 150.
Free Spins at Buffalo Blitz
When you land three scatter symbols, you’re unlocking the bonus round, which gives you free spins anywhere between five and 100 depending on the combination. If a wild symbol is part of the winning combination, the payout is multiplied by a random coefficient between 2 and 5.
The Buffalo Blitz slot is brand new, and we’re yet to wait for more player experience reports, but what we’ve seen so far looks very cool and entertaining. By the way, the game has a theoretical return to player rate of 95.96%, which is just above average if you compare it to the industry standard.
For those of you that are more familiar with names such as Big Time Gaming or Play’n GO: Playtech is the world’s largest online gaming software supplier and one of the first to ever launch an online slot – second to Microgaming – in 1999. The company counts 5000 employees and has offices in 17 countries around the world. In 2001, Playtech received its first casino license, and to date, the firm holds 140 global licenses in 20 regulated jurisdictions.
