Chumash Casino Resort has announced that it will be hosting a fight between Rudy Ochoa and Braulio Avila as the two square off against each other as headliners on the boxing card.
Rudy Ochoa and Braulio Avila boxing records currently stand at 8-0-0 and 3-5-0 respectively.
Chumash Casino Resort is owned and operated by Santa Ynez Band of Chumash Mission Indians, a federally recognized tribe of Chumash and regularly hosts sporting events near Solvang, California.
It will be the casino’s second Ochoa fight in 2 years when the professional boxer beat Johnny Estrada by unanimous decision.
Rudy Ochoa commented ahead of the bout with an insight in to his vision for the future and ambition:
“I’ve sparred with Jesus Cuellar and spoke to him and his management. I know boxing is a lot of networking, but in the meantime, I’m putting in my time, money, and effort in this. It’s a hard route, but I have to keep pushing. My goal is to get signed by a big promoter.”
