Hard Rock And Spectacle Entertainment Start Construction On Indiana Casino

Hard Rock Casino and Spectacle Entertainment have started construction on a casino in Indiana. The two operators are jointly developing a casino in Gary.

The casino is expected to cost $300 million. On Thursday, Jan 9 the operators broke ground on the project and while it will be the gambling operator’s 14th project the casino will be the first land-based casino gambling facility in Indiana.

The event saw several public figures and celebrities attending the ceremony.

Amongst the popular figures present at the venue yesterday were Tito, Jackie and Marlon Jackson, three members of the Jackson 5.

The gambling venue is expected to be completed by 2021 following which it would start welcoming guests.

The construction phase will also see several new jobs created. Once the construction is complete the gambling operator has said that the project would create about 400-50 additional jobs.

The majority of the hiring will be done locally.

The casino will host a 200,000 square-foot entertainment complex that will hold up to 1,650 slot machines and 80 table games. In the first phase, six food venues will also be developed along with the gaming infrastructure.

In the second phase, the operators also plan to develop a hotel attached to the gambling venue. The proposed hotel will host 200-300 rooms for accommodating guests visiting the venue.
