Gaming technology solutions and services provider International Game Technology (IGT) has been chosen by the District of Columbia’s Office of Lottery and Gaming to offer instant ticket games.
IGT’s subsidiary, IGT Global Solutions Corporation has bagged a one-year deal with DC Lottery to provide instant ticket games until December 1, 2020.
According to the terms of the deal, IGT’s contract can be extended for a maximum of four times for a period of 12 months each.
Along with instant ticket games, IGT is also authorized to provide additional services to DC Lottery like game planning and promotion, analysis and analytics, graphics support, and instant ticket processing and printing and more.
Commenting on the deal, Beth Bresnahan, executive director of DC Lottery said:
“Instant tickets are a product vertical that presents strong growth opportunities for the DC Lottery. We continuously look at ways to expand our entertainment options for players and the reach of our products at retail locations. The DC Lottery looks forward to continuing to deliver world-class lottery games with the help of IGT today and in the future.”
Jay Gendron, the IGT’s Chief Operating Officer, Lottery said that IGT has been working closely with DC lottery over the past five years and has been delivering the best player experience for its customers.
“IGT is pleased to continue working with the DC Lottery, and we look forward to helping the Lottery reach its sales goals by enhancing its instant ticket program with creative new content,” he added.
The deal is also an extended partnership as IGT has already been with DC Lottery as their print vendor since 2014.
