New Gary Casino To Be Named Hard Rock Casino Northern Indiana

The construction of a new casino in Gary, Indiana commenced this week; the Hard Rock Casino Gary, except it has already undergone a rebrand that has been kept on the down-low.

Hard Rock Casino Northern Indiana will be the new name of the casino, which started construction just a few days ago.

3 of the famous Jackson brothers who lived in Gary during their youth, Jackie, Marlon and Tito Jackson attended the ground breaking to mark the commencing of the development of the 300+ million Euro project.

Marlon Jackson of Jackson Five fame commented:

“Gary, Indiana is a special place and it deserves special things. We believe this will spur the type of development so sorely needed in the city.”

However, despite the initial announcement to build the casino and name it the ‘Hard Rock Casino Gary’, it will be dropping the city’s name from its logo.

Creative brand manager Kay Kearney explained the situation and reasoning behind the early rebrand:

“The planning and development process of bringing a Hard Rock-branded casino to Indiana started several months back. Throughout the course, the Spectacle Entertainment and Hard Rock teams have worked to develop a premier entertainment complex that will benefit not only Gary, but the entire Northern Indiana region.”

Kearney expanded further:

“Recently, after much discussion, the decision was made to officially name the complex Hard Rock Casino Northern Indiana. We believe the name encompasses the entirety of the region, and best serves the people of Gary and Northern Indiana.”

The casino is scheduled to open in early 2021, but given kind weather may be constructed and developed ahead of schedule ready for a Festive 2020 opening at the end of the year.

Of course the Hard Rock Folks would want to distance themselves from Gary; but only after it gets millions in funds from the city treasury!
