USA – It has been announced today that a popular sportsbook in America has launched a brand new online casino in Pennsylvania, bringing the total of online casinos in the state to six.
FanDuel is a DFS (daily fantasy sports) provider and bookmaker, originally out of New York, that is now offering casino games to its members and residents in the Keystone State.
Other providers in Pennsylvania that are already providing online casino services include Unibet and PokerStars.
It has been reported that FanDuel sent out a notification today via its sportsbook app that informed members of a variety of table games such as blackjack and slots were now available to play.
The new FanDuel casino launched via the same app as its sportsbook with additional options in the interface.
The app is available for both Android and IOS users.
At present the selection of casino games is limited, but the introductory range of games is hand-picked by the Flutter Entertainment owned betting firm and is expected to grow rapidly.
FanDuel has teamed up with King of Prussia firm ‘Valley Forge Casino’ to offer its gaming services to its members.
Jesse Chemtob, General Manager & Vice President of Casino at FanDuel Group commented on the deal and future plans:
“Currently, FanDuel Casino is only available within the FanDuel Sportsbook iOS and Android apps, but we will explore offering casino games on desktop in the future… Given how well FanDuel Sportsbook has resonated with players in PA, we felt it was a natural product extension in PA to leverage the FanDuel brand to bring our online sportsbook players a more robust online gaming offering”.
Chemtob elaborated on the timing of the launch and product expansion plans:
“This is a conscious approach we decided to take to bring our FanDuel Casino product to market prior to Super Bowl… In our experience in NJ, we’ve found that FanDuel Sportsbook customers are engaging significantly more with our table games, but we will look to add more table games and slots in the near future”.
