Thousands of dollars worth of furnishings were auctioned with items from as little as one hundred dollars up to tens of thousands.
Our of the 197 furnishings that were up for auction, all items were sold with multiple bidders for each item.
Marketing manager at the auction house David Berenblit commented on the fascination with the American swing singer some 22 years after his death:
“There are a lot of people with a fascination into Frank Sinatra… Here was an opportunity to own something that he used, and I would think that is pretty cool for a Sinatra fan.”
Berenblit also commented on the high price tag of one of the singers toilet seats which sold for over four thousand dollars:
“Typically toilets like those would maybe go for $2,000 online… There must have been some gravitas attached because they were Frank Sinatra’s because they over performed.”
