UK – It is reported that a man was arrested at a Somerset casino establishment following a phone call from concerned staff inside the venue.
A court in Bath heard today that the police were called to a reported incident last year at Century Casino late in the evening amid concerns that the man was going to jump from the casino establishment’s balcony.
When officers arrived at the casino, which was opened in 2018 following the 2017 acquisition by Colorado gaming company Century Casinos, the man was found in an irate state on the balcony drinking beer.
The man had spent a few hundred pounds at the casino on the night of his arrest, before being asked to leave, which he refused.
It is reported that the male, who is in his 30’s, was visiting Century Casino as a coping strategy for BPD (bipolar disorder), which causes periods of depression and abnormally elevated moods.
Century Casino is a luxury entertainment and gaming venue in the city of Bath – known for its historic Roman Baths – which offers three floors of casino gaming and dining with a number of state of the art slot machines and table games including three card poker, blackjack and roulette.
The venue has a cocktail lounge with its own balcony and an exclusive private top floor, where it regularly hosts events and private gaming occasions. The top floor also has its own balcony.
