USA – It has been reported today that many of the casino establishments in the state of New York are expecting one of their busiest weekends on record as they prepare to take wagers on the 2020 Super Bowl.
Bets are allowed to be placed on the Super Bowl for the first time in the state’s history following changes in law and legislation.
For the past three years, many of the casinos have struggled financially.
However, with the expansion of their establishments in to the sports betting industry, things are expected to look up.
In light of expectations, the casino venues are hosting special events and advertising exclusive packages with overnight stays at their hotel along with tickets to Super Bowl parties.
Casino Sportsbook Operations Director at Resorts World Catskills since 2019 John Collins commented:
“We’re expecting a packed house this weekend, and our Sportsbook 360 will be at the centre of the action, offering fans an integrated sports gaming and lounge experience.”
Residents of New York are allowed to wager on this year’s Super Bowl for the first time, but can do so offline only at the eleven casino establishments in New York, including four upstate and seven Native American casinos.
Lance Young of del Lago Resort & Casino expanded on why this weekend is expected to be busy:
“Being the first Super Bowl you can bet legally in the state, I think it’s going to be a huge event”.
Super Bowl LIV (54) kicks off this Sunday with Kansas City Chiefs slight 4/5 favourite versus odds of 21/20 for San Francisco 49ers to be crowned victorious.
Other betting markets are available including both teams to score two touchdowns in each half of the match.
