Sports betting odds have today been updated following Super Bowl 54, which saw Kansas City Chiefs victorious against San Francisco 49ers by 31 to 20.
The game, which took place at the Hard Rock Stadium, Miami Gardens, Florida also saw Kansas City Chiefs’ star quarterback Patrick Mahomes win the annual Super Bowl Most Valuable Player Award.
Patrick Mahomes commented on the win and what it felt like to come from behind:
“We never lost faith. Everybody on this team, no one had their head down and we found a way to win in the end. The defence got some big stops for us and we found a way to win. Coach Reid told me ‘keep firing, keep believing’ and he gave me a lot of confidence to go out there no matter what.”
“The 49ers have an amazing defence, one of the best defences I’ve played against so far and I’m just glad our guys kept fighting. This team has heart, coach pushes us to be the best we can be. We did it baby!”
In light of Super Bowl 54’s result, sports betting providers and offline sportsbook establishments have today updated their latest betting odds for the year ahead, despite the new 2020 season not starting until Saturday 10th September 2020.
Inevitably, odds have been slashed on Kansas City Chiefs winning Super Bowl 55 to 5/1 on average with punters looking to get in early whilst still on a high. The San Francisco 49ers are joint second favourite at 7/1 with the Baltimore Ravens and the New Orleans Saints in fourth at 9/1 odds on average.
NFL Draft betting has also been updated following the close of the 2019 National Football League season with Joe Burrow favourite to be first pick and Chase Young as favourite for second pick.
