Sportsbook’s around the world have today slashed odds on a number of players switching clubs within the next six months and at the forefront of the betting market is the Barcelona and Argentinean forward Lionel Messi.
Lionel Messi is said to be unhappy in Spain and has publicly criticised Barcelona’s sporting director and an apparent clause in the 32 year olds contract means that he may be able to leave the Catalonian club for free at the end of the season.
In light of this, bookmakers have slashed odds on Messi leaving Camp Nou for the first time in a long time and is tipped for a reunion with former boss Pep Guardiola at Manchester City. Also keeping an eye on the situation on the 40 million a year number 10 are City rivals Manchester United and Italy’s Inter Milan.
Odds have also been slashed on Birmingham City youngster Jude Bellingham with top flight clubs Manchester United, Arsenal and Dortmund all interested in the midfielder.
Aston Villa’s Jack Grealish is another player linked with Manchester United and odds have been cut on the 24 year old Brit joining either Barca, Real Madrid or Manchester united in the summer.
