Vietnam – It has been reported today that a Vietnam casino resort is pushing ahead with its ‘pre soft opening’ despite the coronavirus crisis.
Suncity Group, which is the firm behind the new casino resort dubbed the Hoiana Project, commented that recent disease sweeping the nation will not affect the venue launch:
“Our market positioning in Hoiana is quite different compared to Macau. We believe it will not affect our pre-soft opening provided we obtain the licence on time. Part of the hotel rooms and casino operation will be ready.”
Vietnam is reportedly in the process of constructing field hospitals as it prepares for a potential influx of nationals returning from China. The field hospitals are said to accommodate thousands of beds and are being placed to prevent the spread of coronavirus in the Southeast Asian country on the South China Sea.
As of today, Vietnam currently has ten confirmed cases of coronavirus.
The casino resort by Suncity Group is expected to open its first phase shortly and will have a strong appeal to visitors from China.
However, the establishment will not be allowing Vietnam citizens access to gamble at the casino.
The Hoiana Project ‘combines stylish accommodation, world-class golf and exhilarating entertainment in Vietnam’s first and finest integrated resort.’
The project offers “state-of-the-art gaming facilities, a dedicated VIP floor, nightly live performances and so much more”.
