USA – It has been announced that XFL, a professional American football league owned by Vince McMahon’s Alpha Entertainment has signed a sports betting deal with Fox bet, the online football, basketball, baseball and hockey betting firm.
The new deal brings together the two firms in a partnership that sees the mobile sports betting brand Fox Bet become the official authorised gambling operator of the league, which is headquartered in Connecticut.
Fox Bet will use the deal to promote a range of markets for punters to bet on including the creation of an exclusive Fox Sports Super 6 game each week that will run for the duration of the season.
Robin Chhabra, chief executive officer of Fox bet commented on the deal:
“We are thrilled to be an authorized gaming operator of the XFL and part of all the excitement surrounding the league’s kickoff this February.”
Chhabra elaborated about what the partnership means to both firms:
“Just as they are reimagining the game of football in America, we at FOX Bet are reimagining the sports experience for fans across the country.”
The deal will also allow Fox Bet official rights and licensing to the American football brand’s ‘data feed, league marks, team logos, player and coach likeness and certain league content’.
President of XFL and a sports business consultant from New Jersey Jeffrey Pollack spoke highly of the betting organisation:
“FOX Bet is a leader in mobile sports wagering, and we’re proud to partner with such an important player in the sports betting community.”
“We want what our fans want and legal sports betting is an important part of the fan experience that will allow them to connect more strongly with the XFL.”
