Australia – News just in reports that the police have been called to an incident outside a popular casino establishment in Brisbane; Treasury Casino, which is owned and operated by Star Entertainment Group; one of Australia’s largest gaming and entertainment groups, in which at least two people have been injured.
Queensland Police Service is the law enforcement agency responsible for policing Queensland and has confirmed that officers attended to an attack in the central business district of Brisbane.
Reportedly, a victim has been stabbed outside the casino venue in the early hours of Thursday morning and local paramedics also attended the incident to treat three people, one of which was male with a stab wound.
The victims have been taken to hospital; Royal Brisbane Hospital, in a serious condition, but are currently stable.
Following the incident, a man was arrested and taken in to custody. Investigations and enquiries are ongoing and it is unclear whether the people involved were patrons of the casino, which is a popular late night venue with around the clock custom.
