It has been announced today by Kate Chambers, managing director of Clarion Gaming, that ICE North America, which was due to take place on 13th May 2020, has been postponed until next year due to the current uncertain times surrounding the coronavirus outbreak.
Clarion Gaming, who organise the event, pride themselves on delivering ‘exceptional outcomes and experiences through live events, training and content in every active gaming market and vertical’.
However, the global Covid-19 outbreak has caused ‘damage’ and ‘economic turbulence’ within the gaming industry both offline and online.
Kate Chambers made a statement of the news via media channels today:
“Gaming, in common with all sectors of the global economy, has been severely damaged by the horrendous impact caused by COVID-19. As event organisers immersed in the industry that we serve, we are fully aware of the economic turbulence being experienced by our friends and colleagues throughout the international supply chain – and our thoughts are with them.”
Chambers elaborated on the unprecedented times and the response her firm is having during this uncertain period:
“Having consulted with the industry, my team and I will be paying close attention to the speed with which the virus is contained. Clearly this is an extremely dynamic situation and I will be personally keeping our stakeholders fully updated on how we propose to respond. These are unprecedented times and our sincere best wishes go to all of our stakeholders both in the United States and throughout world gaming. If we can help in any way I would be delighted to hear from the industry on my personal e-mail”
According to reports, Clarion Gaming is monitoring all of its events scheduled to take place over the next three to six- month period. In addition to ICE North America the schedule comprises ICE Asia and ICE Africa.
ICE North America usually provides an opportunity to discover advanced gaming technologies and solutions, spanning all land based and online gaming verticals. Its conference offers the latest in sports betting, casino, lottery, tribal gaming, affiliate marketing, payments and responsible gaming.
