USA – A casino hotel and former race track in Rhode Island owned and operated by Twin River Worldwide Holdings; Twin River Casino, has announced that it is currently being used as a drive-through test site for rapid Covid-19 tests and is capable of testing up to one-thousand people per day.
The testing facility is operating in conjunction with CVS Health to perform free tests in the region to all residents of Rhode Island and the number of tests has now doubled thanks to the new partnership between Twin River Worldwide Holdings.
Twin River Worldwide Holdings is a gaming company based in Lincoln, Rhode Island that owns and operates eight casino and racetrack properties in Colorado, Delaware, Mississippi, and Rhode Island.
Executive vice president of the firm Marc Crisafulli commented on the announcement:
“We are pleased to offer Twin River Casino Hotel in Lincoln as a rapid COVID-19 drive through testing site. We are supporting the efforts of the RI Department of Health, CVS Health, the Rhode Island State Police and the RI National Guard to ensure as smooth a testing experience as possible.”
Crisafulli, who has been in the role since June 2019 expanded on the importance of such collaboration:
“This level of collaboration truly is representative of the fact that we are all in this together, and we stand ready to do all we can to support the State’s efforts to manage the spread of the virus.”
According to reports, the rapid testing facility is able to test individuals who are showing signs of contracting Coronavirus and meet criteria set out by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. In order to be tested, residents of Rhode Island can register online at CVS Health and schedule a testing slot the same day.
Chief medical officer of CVS Health Troyen Brennan said:

Thanks to our partnerships with state officials and the utilization of advanced technology, our providers will be able to test large numbers of people in these states and make real-time decisions about treatment and appropriate next steps.”
