The gambling trade show in Asia; Global Gaming Expo (G2E Asia), has today announced that it has been rescheduled for December 2020, the second time that the event has been postponed.
The event is rescheduled to the 1st through to 3rd December 2020 and will take place at The Venetian Macao.
The rescheduled announcement comes just weeks after the May 2020 postponement to July 2020 amid Coronavirus pandemic.
Organisers of G2E Asia 2020 stated on the official website:
‘Your health and safety is always our highest priority. Based on our continued monitoring of the global health crisis, and in consultation with our customers and the Macao government, we will now host G2E Asia in December. G2E Asia is rescheduled for December 1-3, 2020 at the Venetian Macao.
Unfortunately, due to the COVID-19 pandemic and continued travel and commercial restrictions, it is not possible to hold G2E Asia in July as originally planned. G2E Asia, and its organizers the American Gaming Association and Reed Exhibitions, are grateful for your continued support and apologize for any inconvenience that this may cause.
We will continue to monitor the situation and remain in close contact with all G2E Asia stakeholders, local government, and health authorities over the coming months.
Thank you again for your understanding and continued support of G2E Asia. We look forward to continuing to support Macao’s resilient gaming industry and its recovery when we reconvene in December.’
Chief operating officer of Reed Exhibitions China Josephine Lee spoke about the news:
“The health and safety of our exhibitors, attendees and employees is paramount. The rapidly evolving situation makes it too difficult to host G2E Asia in a safe environment this summer.”
Specifically targeting the growing Asian gaming industry, the annual Global Gaming Expo Asia (G2E Asia) is, like its larger American counterpart, presented by the American Gaming Association and organized by Reed Exhibitions.
