UK – One of the world’s largest online poker rooms; partypoker, has announced that it will be hosting an exclusive UK COVID-19 Charity Tournament to raise funds for the British National Health Service (NHS), which is currently fighting the Coronavirus pandemic in the United Kingdom.
partypoker is the leading poker brand of GVC Holding PLC, a global online gaming company. Launched in August 2001, partypoker is one of the pioneers of the online poker industry.
The tournament will raise money for the NHS and a minimum of fifty percent of the prize pool will be matched by the Gibraltar based poker room and donated directly to the NHS.
‘Once late registration of this rake-free tournament closes, we’ll remove a minimum of 50% of the funds raised and donate it to UK Charities supporting the COVID-19 crisis. partypoker will match the removed sum, doubling the donation to this fantastic cause. The remainder of the buy-in will be distributed as per our standard tournament payout structure.’
The UK COVID-19 Charity Tournament has unlimited re-entries for the first twelve weeks and is limited to UK account holders only.
