USA – Owners of the two retail sportsbook venues at Twin River Casino And Tiverton Casino Hotel; Sportsbook Rhode Island, have issued a business update to customers in The Ocean State as establishments remain open for business amid the Covid-19 pandemic.
The bookmaker, which is powered by William Hill US and IGT, has stated that it is actively monitoring the Coronavirus situation and the threat to public health it poses, the firm said:
‘As of now, our Twin River and Tiverton Casino retail locations, as well as the mobile Sportsbook Rhode Island website and app, are open.
With the cancelation and/or suspension of many of the major sports leagues, the wagering options are currently limited; but we are hopeful that in the coming days and weeks the situation will improve; and additional options will become available.
As always, the health and safety of our customers, as well as the health and safety of the spectators and participants in the athletic contests, is, and should be, the top priority.’
Cancelled Sporting Events
On sporting events that have been cancelled since the pandemic broke and lockdown took place, the Rhode Island sportsbook operator was clear on the action it was taking:
‘Any wagers that have been placed on cancelled events will be, or have been, voided and will be refunded.
For suspended leagues, all “futures” bets will remain “action” until a winner is declared.
If the suspension turns into a cancelation and no winner is declared, those wagers will also be voided and refunded.
Please know that as more information becomes available, we will be able to provide additional details on open action and voided bets.
Our website will also be periodically updated with answers to FAQs regarding the COVID-19 health threat.’
Both retail sportsbook venues; Twin River Casino And Tiverton Casino Hotel, have hours of operation of 11am to 12am Monday to Friday and 9am to 12am Saturday and Sunday.
