USA – A social casino provider and skill games platform GSN Games, has today announced that it has donated over $200k to a Covid-19 response fund set up by Meals on Wheels, who represents those who provide meal services to seniors in need, specifically those at risk of or experiencing hunger.
The Meals on Wheels COVID-19 Response Fund will help local communities across the country replenish food supplies, subsidize additional transportation and personnel costs as well as enable tech-based efforts to check in on isolated seniors and support timely distribution of science-based information needed to ensure safe care for all.
GSN Games raised the money through its community of players across its mobile apps and WorldWinner site over the last couple of weeks.
GSN Games and Game Show Network chief executive officer Mark Feldman commented on the donation:
“Meals on Wheels provides critical nourishment and support for our most vulnerable neighbours. We applaud the lifesaving efforts of Meals on Wheels and thank all of our fantastic, generous GSN Games players who stepped up to support their COVID-19 Response Fund in this time of crisis.”
Chief Development Officer, Meals on Wheels America Kristine Templin added:
“Many of our local programs have reported a significant increase in the number of seniors they are serving as a result of COVID. Thanks to the generosity of companies like GSN Games, our programs will receive critical funding to help meet the increased needs of vulnerable, at-risk seniors during this pandemic.”
GSN Games also provides virtual casino experiences that go beyond Vegas, as the creator of GSN Casino, a top-ranked and top-grossing mobile app, and Games by GSN, a top-five virtual casino app on Facebook.
