Gaming company and operator of a number of casinos in USA and Europe; Century Casinos, has announced that it has reopened eight casino establishments in Poland under its Polish subsidiary; Casinos Poland, of which it owns a 66% stake.
The venues in Poland have been shuttered since the middle of March 2020 due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, whereby the government of Poland issued a quarantine imposition to prevent and contain the spread of Coronavirus.
Now that some recovery to the Polish economy has now begun, Casinos Poland was able to resume some business operation, but not quite business as usual. The firm is following recommendations and guidelines from government ministers and health officials as a series of cautionary measures are implemented.
Safety measures include social distancing and enhanced health and safety protocols for both customers and employees.
Century Casinos commented on the reopening:
“We look forward to welcoming our guests and team members back to our Polish casinos. This is a first but very important step to lead our company back to normal operations.”
Century Casinos currently operates eleven casinos in the United States across multiple states, including Colorado and Missouri along with eight casinos in Poland in Warsaw, Krakow and Wroclaw among other regions.
