Century Casinos, the Colorado based casino operator with properties in multiple countries, has announced that it has successfully re-opened its Canadian casinos amid the Covid-19 shutdown some months ago.
The firm has announced that out of the five properties it has re-opened in Canada, two of which have horse racing tracks and will resume racing in the near future.
Properties which have re-opened include: Century Casino Calgary, Century Casino & Hotel Edmonton, Century Downs Racetrack and Casino, Century Casino St. Albert and Century Mile Racetrack and Casino.
Horse racing events, of which bettors will be able to wager on, will resume at Century Downs and Century Mile in the coming weeks.
In light of the recent lockdown measures in Canada, casino properties owned by Century Casinos have undergone a thorough cleaning and hygiene programme prior to re-opening, including comprehensive sanitizing.
In addition, the casino operator is enforcing social distancing measures to ensure the safety of employees and customers and urging visitors to visit the official company websites of their properties before visiting to familiarise themselves with protocols.
At present, casino table games are remaining closes to patrons but visitors can engage in slot machine gambling along with off-track betting along with dining in the on-site restaurants.
Some of the safety measures that Century Casinos has implemented at its Canadian casinos include; more frequent cleaning of surfaces, frequent hand washing, hand sanitizer stations within the casino, mandatory face masks for employees on the casino floor, a 2 metres social distancing rule and limitations on the number of people allowed to stay at hotels and engage in slot machine gaming.
