It has been announced that MLB franchise Detroit Tigers have made history by striking a partnership deal with online sportsbook and betting provider PointsBet.
The deal is the first link-up between a Major League Baseball franchise and a gambling company.
Johnny Aitken of PointsBet commented on the deal:

As part of the agreement, the sportsbook betting firm will become the official gaming partner of the franchise and the deal comes ahead of the new season that is rumoured to be commencing soon.
Chris Granger of Ilitch Holdings, an American company established in 1999 which owns the Detroit Tigers shared his thoughts on the partnership and what it means for the franchise and fans:
