Casino game provider and lottery operator Scientific Games has announced a new partnership expansion with InComm, to provide new technology for convenient purchasing of lottery games directly in retail units.
The secure solution will allow shoppers to purchase ‘drawing-based’ lottery games, such as Powerball and Mega Millions along with instant scratch games in retail venues.
The new gambling solution will provide a new avenue of purchasing for players of such games and supports vital lottery funding for state programs.
Randall Lex of Scientific Games commented on the partnership expansion:
“Our vision for retail innovation includes integrated solutions that support lottery revenues with the most advanced technology possible. This partnership with InComm is another example of Scientific Games’ commitment to invest in retail innovation that opens opportunities for lotteries to bring products safely, quickly and conveniently to players wherever they are.”
At present, it is estimated that retail lottery sales in the United States are worth more than 80 billion dollars every year.
Scientific Games and InComm have been collaborating since 2015 and are now expanding their lottery distribution channels to create ‘seamless commerce experiences in store, online or via mobile for millions of consumers’.
Tim Richardson of InComm also spoke about the agreement:
“Central to this partnership is the shared objective of responsibly growing lottery revenues and attracting new customers for lotteries and retailers alike.
InComm and the retailers we support are excited by the innovation opportunities that this partnership represents.
Most importantly, we’re honored to support the ultimate beneficiaries of lottery programs which are people and communities throughout the U.S.”
According to reports, lottery games are sold at over 200-thousand retail units within the United States.
