MGM Resorts International And BetMGM Link Up With American Gaming Association

It has been announced that the American Gaming Association has partnered with MGM Resorts International and BetMGM, the joint venture between MGM Resorts and GVC Holdings to support and educate gambling enthusiasts about wagering responsibly.

The link-up is part of Responsible Gaming Education Week and runs until the 19th September 2020 and includes the hiring of experienced responsible gaming executive Richard Taylor, who will take up the position of Responsible Gambling Program Manager to assist with the mission.

Richard Taylor commented on the news:

“I am humbled and honored to join the incredible team at BetMGM to help lead the company’s responsible gaming initiatives.

This is an exciting and critical time for both the company and the industry. I am looking forward to the road ahead as we strive to ensure the best and safest experience possible for our customers.”

As part of the program, Richard Taylor will oversee practices that support and encourage healthy attitudes and mindsets towards gambling in a bid to raise awareness and reduce problem gambling related harm.

In addition, Richard Taylor will also work on developing an internal programe specifically for BetMGM staff geared towards responsible gaming and betting.

With a wealth of experience in the field, Taylor, a recent Executive Director of Responsible Gaming and Military Affairs at MGM Resorts, will provide ‘operational and strategic leadership’ for the firms responsible gaming program.


Stephen Martino of MGM Resorts also commented on the partnership:

Over the course of a week, the two corporations will provide a series of outputs to its social media platforms that focuses on responsible gambling along with sharing useful information and tips. What’s more, beyond the 19th September 2020, MGM Resorts and BetMGM will make available a series of tools and resources for the remainder of the year.
