Global gaming and betting operator Flutter Entertainment has today extended its existing partnership with game developer and lottery specialist Scientific Games.
The partnership extension will see the two firms continue their long term collaboration for the developers OpenSports platform to be used on operator brands around the world.
Flutter Entertainment currently serves more than thirteeen million customers globally and is one of the industry’s leading gaming and betting providers, particularly in the United Kingdom, Australia and United States with brands such as Paddy Power, FanDuel, Betfair and SportsBet.
Two Decades of Collaboration
Jordan Levin of Scientific Games commented on the partnership extension:
“Flutter operates some of the world’s most innovative, diverse and distinctive sports betting and gaming brands.
Over the last two decades, we’ve worked together through major shifts in technology, player expectations and the ramping up of U.S. sports betting where we partner with FanDuel.
We share a common ambition to take podium positions in key regulated markets through responsible, engaging and safe player experiences.”
As part of the deal, Scientific Games’ innovative product will be renewed for a further five years following the firm being selected by FanDuel to power its sportsbook offering across its American operations.
Reliable and Scaleable
Rik Barker of Flutter Entertainment also shared comments on the new 5 year deal and what it means for his firm:
“We’re very pleased to renew our partnership with Scientific Games.
Whilst we take great pride in our proprietary technology and product development capabilities, Scientific Games’ OpenSports technology has been a key part of our sports betting platforms for many years.
The reliability and scalability of their technology provides us with a robust platform to deliver on our strategic goals.
As we enter a new era of sports betting, we’re looking forward to working with their world-class teams and technology to capitalize on the opportunities across our sector.”
This year currently marks the 20th anniversary of collaboration for the two corporations and both firms are happy with the deal extension, celebrating a number of milestones within the industry over the years, such as providing the first live odds bets, first to launch cashout feature and migrating multiple brands in to single customer platforms.
