Sportsbook William Hill Unveils Permanent Washington Wizards Stadium Outlet

Sportsbook giant William Hill US has today unveiled its permanent retail outlet that will be located inside the Washington Wizards home stadium; the Capital One Arena.

The new retail sportsbook announcement comes after the success of the brands popup sportsbook at the arena launched in july 2020.

William Hill US has provided a first look of the retail betting location by providing renderings and a video of what to expect, which fans will be able to enjoy from all walks of life.

Inside the sports complex will be a first of its kind sports fan and betting experience that will provide access to a full service sportsbook, restaurant, self service kiosks and a VIP area along with a large private dining and event space.

David Grolman of William Hill US commented on the unveiling:

“The success of the William Hill pop-up sports book has exceeded our expectations, and we’re excited to create the next phase of the sports fan experience with our permanent location inside the Capital One Arena.

What we’re creating now is a game-day experience that can’t be rivaled.

Offering a full-service sports book and restaurant, with an ambiance built around the excitement and energy of live sporting events.”

The venue is expected to open early next year, subject to regulatory approval and will provide a daily betting experience that is available all year round.

In addition, the second floor of the retail sportsbook will provide direct access to and from the arena during selected ticketed events with the option to bet on sports inside the arena via the William Hill mobile app.

Jim Van Stone of Monumental Sports & Entertainment also commented on the news:

“We are thrilled to be the first US sports complex to have opened a year-round sports book at Capital One Arena, located in the nation’s capital.

The William Hill Sports Book will be a one-of-a-kind, immersive experience not only for Wizards and Capitals fans attending events, but for all sports fans – featuring state-of-the-art audio-visual technologies and premium culinary offerings, which will surely become a premier entertainment destination for Washingtonians and visitors to the Greater Washington region.”

William Hill has stated that over the next few weeks it will be releasing further information about its mobile betting app experience and beverage operator at the venue.

Furthermore, the entire facility will be wrapped in 1500 square feet of custom LED along with a replica of what is located inside the stadium and a radio and TV broadcast studio on the first floor, which is visible from the main bar area and passers-by.
