Gaming Innovation Group, GiG, has today announced that it has expanded its existing partnership with Macedonian hospitality and tourism firm K.A.K. DOO Skopje.
The expansion deal will see the provider supply the gambling operator with a number of products from its service offering, including GiG sportsbook online and over the counter along with its omnichannel sports betting solution for land-based offline betting and digital online betting in the North Macedonian gambling market.
Chief Executive Officer of GiG Richard Brown spoke out about the partnership expansion:
“I am very pleased to expand our partnership with K.A.K, they have secured a local sports betting license and have exciting growth plans which are highly complementary to their existing premier retail casino presence in the country.
By adding our online and OTC sportsbook technology offering to the online casino also powered by GiG, K.A.K’s end users will have a seamless end-to-end experience.
We are very much looking forward to working with them to deliver a great product to the local market.”
The partnership between the two corporations was formed in September 2020, which will see GiG become the sole provider of K.A.K. DOO Skopje digital casino offering with its frontend solution and integrated management.
According to reports, the deal will allow K.A.K. DOO Skopje to utilise the Macedonian gambling market’s growth and popularity of late under its own approved license that could see up to twenty-five local venues launched within Macedonia alongside its digital online gaming and betting offering.
Chief Executive Officer of K.A.K. DOO Skopje Ognjan Cigovski also shared comments on the deal and what it will mean for its customers:
“Our recent decision to expand into both the retail and online sportsbook market was a natural step for us, building on our successful land-based casino activities and we see it as a very exciting proposition.
We can now offer our customers a full suite of products across multiple locations as well as online.
We are excited to partner with GiG on this venture who’s product and service offering were a great fit for what we want to achieve in the local Sportsbook space.”
As part of the deal, GiG will provide ‘end-to-end live data, trading and risk management services’ to K.A.K. DOO Skopje through its existing partnership with live sports content provider Betgenius.
Reportedly, the link-up between Gaming Innovation Group and K.A.K. DOO Skopje is part of a revenue share and fixed fee package, whereby an upfront charge will take place before the launch next year with GiG receiving a cut of ongoing revenue towards the second half of 2021.
