It has been announced that mobile sports betting services are to launch in the state of Iowa via a new partnership agreement between Bally’s Corporation and Elite Casino Resorts.
Bally’s is currently developing its US online and mobile presence for sports betting and casino gaming following the success of its multi-property offline casino presence in the country.
The agreement between the two companies will bring together the best of US sports betting and casino and slot gaming in a new multi-year deal and licensed by Elite’s Grand Falls Casino and Golf Resort.
This deal comes just a short while after Bally’s Corporation revealed that it would be acquiring the brand; Bet.Works, a regulated sportsbook technology platform in the United States that specialises in casino and sports operator software and content across multiple US states.
Growing US Demand
Despite not owning and operating a physical casino property in Iowa, Bally’s will enter the gambling market through its digital channels to keep up with the fast growing US industry and rising demand as the legalisation of iGaming and betting continues to surge.
Although a land-based entrance approach is preferred when entering new regulated casino and betting markets, Bally’s will use the deal to for a comprehensive avenue for expansion and to grow its national state-wide presence.
Bally’s Corporation currently owns and manages 10 casinos across six states.
President and Chief Executive Officer of Bally’s Corporation George Papanier spoke out about his delight at signing the deal and how he is looking forward to the products going live next year:
“We are delighted to partner with Elite Casino Resorts in Iowa.
We currently operate sportsbooks in Rhode Island, Colorado, Delaware, Mississippi, and soon will be in Atlantic City.
Entering the Iowa gaming market with our new, integrated sports betting and iGaming company is very exciting and we look forward to the launch in 2021.”
