Scientific Games, a global leader in gambling products both online and offline, has today announced that it will be deploying games in the African market with a new link-up with SISAL in Morocco.
The gaming giant will supply a variety of lottery instant games, e-instant digital games and WAVE lottery terminals in retail properties through the country.
Effective this month, an integration will take place for Scientific Games’ Open Gaming System so that e-instant games are readily available, along with lottery instant scratch cards and the supporting of a national lottery development with WAVE retailer terminals.
This latest partnership reflects Scientific Games’ vision and corporate trajectory in not only growing the global footprint of the brand, but also expanding in to gaming markets in Africa, one of the fastest growing emerging industries.
SISAL, one of the biggest gaming operators in Italy, has been awarded the operator concession for the Moroccan lottery market and will take its recent successes in other markets to the North African nation.
Managing Director of Lottery and International Business of SISAL Marco Caccavale shared some comments on the link-up:
“We are extremely pleased to have been awarded the concession to operate the national lottery in Morocco.
Most recently, we have enjoyed significant market successes with the award of the concession to operate parimutuel games (GNTN) in Italy, and winning the bid to operate the national lottery in Turkey with our partner Şans Dijital, an affiliate of Demirören Holding, one of Turkey’s largest companies.
For all of these significant opportunities, Scientific Games offers relevant, innovative products and services for several growth segments of our businesses.
The extent of the collaboration we have with Scientific Games in Morocco, Italy and Turkey is clear evidence of the strength of our strategic partnership.”
According to reports, this link-up also follows the lottery providers bid to set up a similar scenario in Turkey, where SISAL was the winning bid.
Scientific Games has worked closely with the operator for some thirty years, providing retail technology solutions and platforms for its operations in regulated markets across Europe.
Lottery Group Chief Executive for Scientific Games Pat McHugh also commented on the partnership extension in to African gambling:
“We are honored by the continued trust that SISAL has placed in our ability to deliver a variety of value-added products and services that maximizes sales and proceeds for a number of their international lottery operations.
We are particularly excited about supporting the national lottery in Morocco and deploying our games and technology in the African market.”
This extended collaboration not only strengthens the two corporations’ relations, but continues to build and expand across emerging legal gaming markets across Europe and Africa.
