It has been announced that gaming giant IGT has opted to streamline its systems products in order to better focus on its casino management system IGT ADVANTAGE.
A strategic agreement has been reached between the firm’s subsidiaries to exclusively license GALAXIS and SYSTEM2Go’s intellectual property to Modulus.
Effective immediately, this agreement means that Modulus will be able to take the product line commercial and distribute it to customers around the world, except in North America.
Willy de Bruyn of Modulus spoke about the news:
“Driven by decades of IGT’s proven casino systems experience, GALAXIS and SYSTEM2Go solutions have earned a strong reputation as solutions that drive efficiencies on international customers’ gaming floors while elevating player engagement.
GALAXIS’ range of flexible modules integrate effortlessly with SYSTEM2Go, an affordable and scalable CMS suited to single and multi-site gaming venues that does not require a significant IT infrastructure investment and extensive training to operate.
These solutions are a significant strategic addition to our product portfolio, and SYSTEM2Go will continue to be especially transformational for smaller, cost-conscious international operators.”
As part of the deal, Modulus will be able to develop source code for GALAXIS and SYSTEM2Go along with providing maintenance services to existing customers.
The GALAXIS and SYSTEM2Go are leading products in the industry and the services that they offer have a solid reputation for efficiency and reliability, particularly where casino floors look to boost player engagement.
According to reports, Modulus welcome the products with open arms to its existing product portfolio and will look to service ‘cost conscious’ operators who are looking to invest in their corporate infrastucture across one or more operating sites.
In a bid to reduce duplicative efforts and resources of managing multiple CMS products, IGT made the decision to exclusively license the IP to Modulus that will allow the firm to focus on its innovative IGT ADVANTAGE CMS.
IGT Vice President Mark MacCombie explained more:
“As the supplier of the industry’s most advanced systems solutions, IGT has decided to exclusively license the IP of its successful legacy GALAXIS and SYSTEM2Go solutions to Modulus to eliminate duplicative efforts and resources required for us to manage multiple sets of CMS products.
This will optimize our focus on the development, deployment, and customer service activities for our innovative IGT ADVANTAGE CMS and associated products, including our industry-leading Resort Wallet™ and IGTPay™ mobile cashless solutions.
IGT and Modulus have collaborated on a robust transition plan that will ensure current GALAXIS and SYSTEM2Go customers continue to seamlessly experience the high-quality service, maintenance and support they’ve come to expect.”
