FanDuel Sportsbook Opens At Bally's Atlantic City

It has been announced that a FanDuel sportsbook premises has been opened in Atlantic City for the first time ever at the famous Bally’s Atlantic City Hotel & Casino.

Bally’s Atlantic City Hotel & Casino is a casino hotel on the Boardwalk in Atlantic City, New Jersey that is owned and operated by Bally’s Corporation.

According to reports, the retail sportsbook is a first for the brand in the region and is temporary opening, which will see the implementation of the sportsbook’s proprietary risk and trading technology and IGT PlaySports platform.

IGT PlaySports is a flexible sports betting platform designed for high performance and a proven track record of processing almost two-billion wagers worldwide.

Winning Combination

President and Chief Executive Officer of Bally’s Corporation George Papanier commented on the opening:

“We are very excited to announce the opening of the FanDuel Sportsbook at Bally’s AC. It is the first of many planned capital improvement projects at Bally’s Atlantic City and a testament to our commitment to reinvest in our physical property portfolio.

We are also looking forward to once again implementing the winning combination of Bally’s nationwide expertise in gaming and casino operations, with FanDuel’s market-leading sports betting acumen and globally recognized brand, to provide an unrivaled sportsbook experience for our loyal Atlantic City customers.”

As part of the sportsbook opening, live odds boards have been installed at the venue along with ten self-service IGT PlaySports betting kiosks.

In addition, bettors can place bets on their favourite sports, such as baseball, soccer, golf, football and motorsports, at any of the three attended live betting windows.

The move to open a retail sportsbook at Bally’s Atlantic City is part of a capital improvement project and to invest in property.

Number One Sportsbook

Vice President of Retail of FanDuel Group Keith Wall also commented on the launch of its retail premises:

“We are excited to be one the first pieces of the Capital Improvement Project at Bally’s Atlantic City Casino & Hotel.

While we are eager to get up and running with our temporary sportsbook, we cannot wait until we open the permanent location and showcase to Atlantic City why FanDuel is the number one sportsbook in New Jersey.”

FanDuel is looking to use the temporary sportsbook to established a foothold in the area and bring sports betting services to customers and sports fans alike. In the Spring of 2021, the company is expected to open its permanent sportsbook facility that will be much larger in square feet and consist of enhanced features and more betting options.
