3 reasons why the MLB gaming deal with Bally's is groundbreaking

One of the biggest gaming and entertainment corporations in the United States, Bally’s Corporation, is continuing its momentum following the firm’s deal with the NHL by agreeing a gaming deal with MLB.

This deal also follows the approval and certification to operate in the state of Virginia as well as partnering with the NBA, and today we look at 3 reasons why the Major League Baseball agreement is groundbreaking.

Firstly, the MLB is the leading American professional baseball organisation and the oldest established professional sports leagues in the US.

By becoming the authorised gaming operator of the baseball league, Bally’s will gain access to the official branding logos and data, along with league information and team marks.

The company will then be able to utilise this to grow its existing sports betting products as well as incorporate new material in future products and marketing.

In addition, the gaming operator has stated its intention to create innovative related content for baseball fans that closely follow the MLB and their favourite teams.

Furthermore, Bally’s will integrate content that links its products for gaming and betting across live game coverage in almost twenty regional networks of sports broadcasting, which in turn will be connecting with more than half of all teams within the National League and American League.

Not only is this partnership beneficial for both Bally’s Corporation and the MLB, but it also brings a host of benefits for sports fans too.

When you think of Major League Baseball, you instantly associate it with America and the American people. This immediately provides an opportunity for the gaming and betting operator to increase brand awareness and put the wheels in motion to becoming an even greater sports and gaming provider of innovative products.

The new baseball season is yet to begin, but the league executives have already stated that preparations are underway and this latest deal will allow the league to connect and engage with sports fans through the expertise of an experienced gaming and betting operator with a thirst for entertainment.

By collaborating with Bally’s, new forms of engagement will be introduced to connect with sports fans of teams such as the Mets, Indians, White Sox and Dodgers, many of which are currently engaged in spring training matches.

MLB Executive Vice President Kenny Gersh commented on the new partnership:

As we prepare for the start of the 2021 season, working with Bally’s will present our fans with yet another unique avenue to engage with baseball.

Bally’s knows how to provide added entertainment for sports fans across the country, so we look forward to collaborating on new ways of engaging fans around our games.

President and Chief Executive Officer of Bally’s Corporation George Papanier also commented on the company’s latest link-up:

The agreement between Bally’s and MLB offers exciting benefits for baseball fans nationwide.

We are honored to have the opportunity to put the Bally’s stamp on America’s national pastime and look forward to providing an innovative and engaging sports betting experience. We can’t wait for the season to begin.
