UK racecourse operator The Jockey Club, has today partnered with Playtech, one of the leading gambling technology companies in the world, in a new five year content supply deal.

The deal will see the two businesses come together to introduce an array of gambling content across various products that is based on famous horse races and racecourses that are operated by The Jockey Club.

According to reports, this deal was brokered by Creation i-Gaming and Metrostar and will see Playtech be given the rights to develop a range of content for the operator across multiple product verticals, such as virtual sports, including horse racing, poker and casino, including live dealer offerings.

Furthermore, the first content to be developed as part of the agreement will be for 2022’s famous Cheltenham Festival, a four-day event that takes place every year Cheltenham Racecourse in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire. This year the festival will begin on Tuesday 15th March and end on Friday 18th March 2022.

As part of the debut content launch, a RNG casino game will be developed and added to the developers Sporting Legends series that features timed jackpots that are guaranteed to pay out daily and weekly, along with a huge progressive jackpot prize.

This mutually beneficial partnership will see the developer create an array of engaging branded content with a iconic British feel.

By creating cross-product content, Playtech is able to maintain its status and reputation as a leading provider along with following its strategy to deliver unique experiences that are responsible and safe for players.

By partnering with such a leading brand, The Jockey Club, established some 200 years ago, is able to utilise the experience and skills of Playtech to add to its successes and introduce historic brands in to the online gaming industry.

Reportedly, one of the core reasons why this deal was closed is because the two corporations share the same ethos and values in relation to safer gambling during its activities.

Charlie Boss of The Jockey Club commented on this partnership and outlined why the company was keen to link-up with Playtech:

We are delighted to partner with Playtech, whose industry leading software and expertise will help translate the success of our historic brands into the iGaming market for the first time. Playtech also share our values on putting safer gambling at the heart of their products.

James Frendo of Playtech also commented on the agreement and plans that will be immediately implemented:
