Survivors of Abuse with Resilience Malta receives €10k from Pragmatic Play

It has been announced that Survivors of Abuse with Resilience, also known as SOAR, Malta, has received a €10k donation from leading iGaming software developer Pragmatic Play.

The donation comes as the world marks International Women’s Day in 2022, a significant date on the global calendar, whereby many people of all genders celebrate the social, economic and cultural impact of women around the world.

Pragmatic Play is committed to supporting causes in its active hub countries and this latest deed marks a notch of support in the channel that is close to its staff hearts.

Survivors of Abuse with Resilience in Malta currently provides support and assistance to women who have been abused in the form of one to one sessions and support groups, along with workshops and social clubs that are assisting women in the region and wider area.

Additionally, through advocacy and outreach, SOAR is able to use the generous donation to provide essential services within the organisation now and in the future.

What’s more, this donation from one of the world’s leading software developers to the online gaming industry comes just months after Pragmatic Play donated €28k on Christmas Eve to cancer patient therapy organisation Puttinu Cares.

According to reports, the software developer is an advocate of the ‘vital’ work that Survivors of Abuse with Resilience does and is happy to support the organisation on the day that it celebrates both the personal and professional women in the lives of those connected to Pragmatic Play.

Julian Jarvis of Pragmatic Play commented on the donation:

International Women’s Day is a key date as we celebrate the women in both our personal and professional lives and look to assist those in need through both financial contributions and physical help.

SOAR provides essential aid for women, and we are fierce advocates of the vital work they do, so we are immensely proud with our collaboration efforts and donation.

Nora Macelli of SOAR also commented on the support and what it will go towards:

Pragmatic Play understands our cause and how invaluable volunteers do their utmost to support women in distress kindly and holistically.

By donating to such key causes it gives victims a chance to seek for new life and professional opportunities.

This €10,000 donation will allow us to continue our hard work of providing those in need with the support and services they deserve as we look to assist those in strife.
